Sara Keary

Background

My name is Sara Keary, PhD, LICSW (she/her) and I have been a gerontological social worker since 2004. My practice has primarily focused on supporting families and caregivers in crisis, during inpatient geriatric psychiatric hospitalizations and hospice care. I also have experience working in palliative care settings and well as bereavement. My research has focused on advance care planning, end-of-life care planning, and working with sexual and gender minority older adults (LGBTQIA+) regarding their experiences with accessing and using aging services.
